Where Can I Find Part-Time Babysitting Jobs?
Need to make some extra cash while at school or during holiday and summer breaks? A part-time babysitting job does the trick!
If you are on your college campus, check in your school's newspaper-local families may post babysitting ads there. You can also ask your college career center or student affairs center if they keep local babysitting jobs on file. You could even try the College Caregivers page on Care.com-this page allows local faculty, staff, and students to hire babysitters, nannies, and tutors.
If you're in high school, check out the bulletin boards in the Main Office where local families may post babysitting jobs. Ask your teachers if they need help with their children. Even if they aren't looking for a babysitter, there's a good chance they will let the staff know you are available and can even help you post a notice in the faculty room.
Religious Education programs are also a good place to find part-time babysitting jobs. If you are close with your religious community, see if they will post your ad in the monthly newsletter. Many local religious communities have lists of members who need assistance with all sorts of jobs-shoveling snow, running errands, homework help-there's a good chance that child care will be on that list too!
