I am a 22-year-old mother of a very smart and active 3-year-old girl. She and I love to play outside, go on picnics, paint and find new mediums of art, read, sing songs, and dance around the house. Before being a mommy, I provided child care from my home for roughly a year, and had gained experience working as a school-age teacher at a Lutheran day care prior to that. I have been around children all my life, and myself was raised with a baby sitter who watched me in her home from practically birth. She is still a big part of my life and someone I consider family. I know how much the environment she provided "her kids" meant to all of us, and have always admired her compassion and love and respect she showed us. I'd like to provide the same kind of experience for other children.
