Hello Families! My name is Nadia and I'm a 30-year-old female professional looking for part-time work as a nanny/sitter.

I have been a Seattle resident for over 15 years and a UW Alumni!

I am a loving, nurturing, gentle, kind-natured, patient, careful, and uses common sense.
Understands child development and positive discipline. I am fun, creative, high energy enough to keep the kids engaged. Organized to maintain hourly routines and disciplined to develop daily/weekly curriculum. Enjoys the outdoors and doesn't mind the kids getting dirty active and will take the kids to museums, zoo, playgrounds and so forth skilled cook with knowledge of nutrition to plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals, proactive, take-charge type who takes initiative to pitch in where needed. I am honest, high integrity, trustworthy, and discreet, flexible and has a can-do attitude. I am very punctual, dependable and respectful. I am an open/good communicator, offer suggestions as well as take direction.

My professional work history includes six and a half years at Starbucks Corporate with the most current role as an associate brand manager. I left the company in 2008 to start my own business. I work from home and have ample time in my schedule to work on the side.

I helped care for a single parent household for two twin girls, on and off since they were toddlers to teens. I raised my niece and nephew since they were born. My parents were not able to take care of them due to their age and my sister was diagnosed with cancer. I currently nanny a 2-month-old baby girl part-time and would like to seek more hours. "Nanny Share" is feasible depending on both families needs. I have First Aid and CPR training, worked as a lifeguard in the summers (high school). I was also a leadership camp counselor in 2004 for ages 13 to 16. I have a wide spread of experience with children of all ages. I am very good with pre-teens and the tweeners. My career is based on Marketing and Innovative Trends so I'm always ahead of the curve and can relate to children that age. I am also very internet savvy, so nothing gets past me. I can navigate FB, twitter and all the social networking sites like a hawk. I've tutored children when I was attending high school and college. Helping with homework is not a problem. I am also great at teaching by making it fun and experiential.

The parents make the decision and I follow it without avail. Any allergies, dietary restrictions, types of food, etc.must be alerted beforehand.

Rules are followed according to the parents preference,such as internet, TV, phone use, texting etc. I make it a point to summarize or brief the parent(s) upon the end of my shift.

I have amazing references and will be happy to pass the information along to you. I am also GLBT friendly.
