I'm one of those people who, when I walk into a group, the children are drawn to me. They come up to me and ask to be held or for me to play, and some just come sit in my lap. I believe they do this because they know I'll treat them with respect and act like they're a part of the crowd and not like a baby. I love being with children as much as they love being with me. They're funny, and they have a lot to contribute to my life. I love learning from each child I encounter just as much as I love being a part of their learning and growing-up process.
