Hi everyone, I am Katie. I have over 10 years experience with children of all ages, from birth to 12 years old. I also have experience caring for twins, and for children with some special needs.

I have always been one of those people who has just known that children were meant to be part of my life. I love watching them grow and change, and love having a part in their development and life. I cherish each and every bond I make with the children I care for. I believe love is an integral part of a child's successful development. I am very loving and affectionate with children, and I care for them all very deeply. Another thing that is important for children is affirmation. Whether it is a "high-five" for completing a task or a spoken encouragement, I give both (and more) and plenty of them. At the same time, I know when to put my foot down. I am not afraid to punish a child with a time-out if the need arises.

Children thrive with human interaction, and I am the type of baby sitter who understands and enjoys that. Generally speaking, I am on the same level with the children. I play their games, read books, and sing songs. I am not the type to set the child in front of the TV all day. I prefer to play and interact. However, I am not opposed to moderate TV watching. That being said, any TV rules set by the parents will be respected and enforced by me.

Come mid-November I will be looking for a new part-time nanny job. The days/times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. If you are interested, please let me know.
