I am an expert nanny. I can come into your home and care for your child/children without any instruction at all, though I do prefer to know as much as possible about the likes and dislikes of the children ahead of time, so the transition to a new caregiver is as easy as possible for them. In the last six months I have worked with seven families, all on a part-time/temporary basis, with babies and children of all ages. Most have needed help repeatedly and have asked me to come back. All will provide references.

I have always loved babies and children. I started baby-sitting when I was 11. I achieved my NNEB (Diploma in Child Care and Education) in England in 1982. I then worked as a professional nanny in several different jobs (some temporary, some permanent) with newborns, toddlers, and older children, for 10 years.

I am available every day, but do not want full-time, permanent work. I prefer part-time; either short days or up to three days a week. Hours are totally open to negotiation. I prefer temporary. I am very flexible.

I am knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of child care, including: breast and formula feeding, nutrition, development, childhood ailments, etc. I provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children in my care. I am patient and loving, and I am sensitive to the needs of the whole family. I can also help in other areas of household management. I am acutely aware that a new baby can mean a great deal of adjustment for a family, especially for the new mother, for whom I can provide both practical and emotional support. I continue to be keenly interested in the science of child rearing and keep myself informed about modern methods of care, education and nutrition.

I am 45 years old. I married and came to America in 1991, where my husband and I started a family and became American citizens. We had our three children within three and a half years. All the children have home-schooled for varying amounts of time, two of them right through the eighth grade, but now they all attend public school, and I'm available to work outside the home. I have cared for many other children of all different ages alongside my own during the past 17 years, though not always professionally, more often on a reciprocal basis with friends with children of the same ages as my own.

I can work for you without distractions, as my husband works from home so he is there to care for our own children. They're all teens and don't need much more than a taxi service anyway! My honesty, reliability, experience, and education make me the best possible person you could ask for to look after your child or children.

Volunteerism:
I spend approximately 1000 hours a year volunteering for the 4-H youth development program, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and high school and middle school band programs.

I read, cook, and sew. I use these skills in my work. I am also a trained, fingerprinted and background-checked volunteer with the 4-H youth development program, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Cambrian School District. I have a clean driver's license.
