I have a passion for working with children and over 10 years of experience in day care, preschool aide, and nanny positions. I have worked in on-call, temporary, and permanent positions. My mother was an in-home care provider when I was growing up, and I had my first experiences in the field at a young age assisting her. I am applying for my assistant teaching certificate. Also, I have enough ECE classes to get my associate teaching certificate. I just need some more classroom experience hours to complete the process. I am working towards a degree in early childhood education, so that I can eventually become a preschool teacher. I am most experienced with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Currently, I have been employed with the same family for the last four years. I am hoping to find a position that will allow time for me to take evening classes, usually around 6:30 p.m., a couple time a week, so I can continue my early childhood education.
