I am relocating to San Antonio from Boston in September. I have been working with children, professionally for several years. I have worked with children from 6 weeks to 7 years old. I started out working with children in the autism spectrum. I worked for a year at a Montessori School in a preschool classroom. At my current job, I started out as an assistant teacher. I then received my own pre-K classroom and following that I was promoted to program coordinator. In this latest position, I have had experience with all age ranges and have had the joy of helping each age group develop and grow. I have helped create curriculum and plan daily activities for each classroom in our day care center as well has help set developmental goals and oversee the development of all the children in our care. In this position I have discovered my love of teaching, my love of interaction and learning. My favorite time is when I get to see a child learn and grow through exploration, when goals set, are achieved. Learning through play and exploration of their environment is essential to children's growth. I love do art projects and outings. In addition to my professional experience, I am a certified early education teacher through the state of Massachusetts and have taken courses on early education and care.
