Temporary care available... I have Thanksgiving & Christmas break openings!(possibly spring & summer break) I provide low-ratio, (three children or less) child care with a loving touch and over 20 years of experience! Each child is a true blessing to me! A little about me: before I had my own children, I did foster care for over 33 children. I have five of my own children who range in age from 2 years to 17 years. I am CPR certified and available on short notice. I would say that the thing that separates me from other day care providers is that I refuse to pack children into my home. I focus on giving quality care to the children who are in my home and building relationships with each of them as if they were my own. A typical day consists of children playing outdoors on the playground, playing with play-doh, and depending on how long they are here and age: cutting and gluing, coloring and painting, and writing and learning about letters and or numbers, to name a few. I currently have mostly very young children whom I am caring for. When I do have toddlers who are ages 3 or 4, I love to take them to the zoo, McDonald's, neighborhood pool and park, and library, etc. Children usually do not want to leave! The children who I care for, I am very close to. I am like a second mother or nanny to them, (references will verify). I try to adhere, as much as possible, to the way you like your children taken care of. I do all of the tasks you would do for your child if you were with them, such as brush teeth, clip fingernails, bathe, feed, follow schedules, discipline, and play with them. It's the foster parent in me that makes it second nature for me to treat the children as my own. This is what makes me happy. If what you are looking for is a person to be like a second parent to your child while you are away, then I am a perfect fit.
As of November 2009, I only have Holiday breaks, weekends and evenings available. If you need care during the week (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). I can call you when I do get an opening if you want to be put on a waiting list or you can check back often as I will remove this section when I have availability. Thank you.
