My experience started when I was young. I baby-sat during the weekends to make extra money. When I entered high school, I took multiple child development classes. I was involved in the early childhood organization, where I was the President for two years. I truly enjoyed every minute working with children at the local elementary schools, while I interned for elective credit. It was so much fun and it introduced me to so much more, than I expected. After high school, I went to college the following semester, just taking basic courses. I then decided I wanted more responsibility, so I got a job at a youth association in San Antonio. I was a caregiver for children ranging in ages 4 to 14 during after school care and summer programs. I have done this for seven years. I currently attend The University of the Incarnate Word here in San Antonio, where I am working on my bachelor's degree in education. I am passionate about what I do, because I feel my personality and positive sense of being leaves a profound mark on the children I am with. I have provided care to over 5,000 different children and families across Texas, and I love the impact one person can have on another. Children are my life. I cannot wait to have a child of my own. Until then, I plan to keep leaving my mark and hope to make a difference.
