Theresa W. - Salt Lake City Nanny

Profile of Theresa W.

Part-Time, 10 + Years of Experience

I am a pediatric registered nurse and have worked in the nursery and intensive care nursery in hospitals for the past 29 years. Before that, I worked at a day care center for a hospital. I have also worked as a nurse at Children's Hospital in Louisiana, with all ages of children up to 18 years old. I have always loved kids. I prefer nights, even all night long is perfect for me, and I have helped new moms in the community with the night feedings for their newborns in their own homes while the mom gets some much needed sleep! I love newborns, and helping with the all night feedings is the thing I love most (yes, I come to your home all night and care for the newborn while you sleep). I am a mother of three boys, who are all grown and gone now. I have excellent references from parents in Salt Lake whom I have worked for. I even had some parents in my neighborhood who would cancel their plans to go out if I was unavailable, because they did not want anyone else to baby-sit their children! I charge $15.00 per hour for day hours up to 11:00 p.m. and $20.00 per hour for 11:00 p.m. till 8:00 a.m., but with 29 years of experience as a pediatric nurse, I think it is a fair price. I do plan activities ahead of time if the children are old enough, so they are never bored when I am with them. I can be a big kid at heart and love to play games with the children. I still work in hospitals throughout SLC, but I can control that schedule on a weekly basis, and being a nanny comes first. Currently, I just finished nanny at night for a wonderful family who just adopted a baby. Before that, I nanny at night for newborn preemie twins. So, I am currently looking for a new family to help in the community. I am happy to meet with you and your children first, before baby-sitting for you, at no charge. I love becoming a part of the family and having those little faces beaming at me through the window as I walk up your front porch steps! You may contact me through the Care. com website if you are interested in discussing how I may be of service to you and your family in the near future.
