I have been a caring, involved and devoted mother to my own two teenage children and my two teenage step-children for many years. I worked in our church nursery for about a year caring for toddlers as a paid staff member. I grew up baby-sitting from the age of 10, caring for all ages of younger children and babies.
When a close friend gave birth and wanted to go back into the workforce later, I cared for her 1-year-old, along with my 1-year-old. I worked as a job coach for TESH, a local company that finds job placement for the handicapped. I am currently a volunteer Sunday school teacher at church once a month. I find that children are fun and energetic and eager to learn about the world. I find that I enjoy people themselves, rather than working with office machinery, or standing over a cash register.
