Tatiana H. - Portland Nanny

Profile of Tatiana H.

Full-Time, 1 Year of Experience

My name is Tatiana and I'm a young mom of a 2 year 4 month old son. I love seeing pregnant women, moms, and children. When I sense a child in distress or a mom in need of help, I do something. I understand firsthand the hard time mothers have in doing laundry, cooking meals, sleeping, breastfeeding, and a never ending list of chores. Nannying just makes sense! I am from Honduras, and I have been here in Oregon with my husband for four years.
I'm the best option you have because I'm a great mother. Here are some practices my family follows:
We are a bilingual (Spanish-English) family, so your children can learn with us!
We use baby signs, so your baby will throw less tantrums to meet his/her needs. Our son uses several signs to communicate with us, since he still doesn't say much.
We use EC (elimination communication). We started with our son when he was 4 months old, and he often uses a potty or the toilet.
We use cloth diapers. We apply NVC (Non-Violent Communication), attachment parenting, reading to children.
We are a very loving family, and I will take care of and love any child as I do my own.
I'm patient, and this is thanks to my mischievous son. We cook and eat organic, so your child can have healthy snacks and/or meals; we have at least one meal together as a family, and I prepare my own baby food from scratch. We have four chickens - Sassy, Cheeky, Rosie, and Pantera, who give us eggs every day. We are a gay-friendly, bi-racial, bilingual, and bi-cultural family. We are in the process of aligning our principles with living simply. We always strive to be better with the three R's (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle). We are members of a group that provides friendship, community, and resources for green families.
We love music. We also listen to a wide variety of music, including classical, salsa, bluegrass, rock, and alternative. I am available days. Please call me to negotiate price, age, food, location, and other details. I understand the sacrifice of a parent with economic difficulties (I am one!) and I am very flexible with locations, hours, exceptions (a weekend here or there, or a night now and then...). I can't wait to meet you and your child! Can you wait for her/him to say her/his first words in Spanish? I am a reliable and flexible nanny. I am infant/child CPR and First Aid certified.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I like music, art, humor, cooking, nature, yoga, animals (especially my four hens and cat). I also enjoy faith, tea, learning, making new friends socializing), chatting, cleaning, and I deeply love my family, my friends, and myself.
