My philosophy when it comes to being a nanny or a baby-sitter is that the kids should have fun, be creative, and have a ton of fun while doing it. I want to help them grow and learn and reach their true potential.I have extensive experience with children of all ages, both formal and informal. I have worked for several of Portland's top children's places including the Portland Children's Museum and OMSI. I have also worked as a tutor for a Portland Public Elementary School and am comfortable working on all elementary subjects.
On top of this, I am an avid baby-sitter. I am a big fan of making crafts, playing games of all kinds, going on walks, and playing at the park. Currently, I am enrolled at PSU and PCC working on completing my BA in psychology with a focus on child development. I have taken multiple courses on childhood development and education. My continually expanding knowledge is an asset when I am care taking all ages of children.
I have worked as a full/part-time nanny for a family for a little over a year. They have four kids (girls ages 8 and 6, and twin 4-year-old boys). I have transportation, can cook, game-player, rule enforcer, tutor, and motivator to these kids.
The extensive experience that I have gained has been invaluable and am looking for a new family to learn and grow with. I am available starting after July 4th.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I love to bake cookies, finger paint, climb trees, and read every book that the library has to offer, particularly Dr. Seuss. He was a genius!
