Before I became a mom, I worked with a family that had triplets and an older daughter. I started that at the age of 10 (believe it or not) when the triplets were only 6 weeks old and their other daughter was 3. I would spend the week at their house during each summer and take care of their four children by myself. I would watch the children from 8:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m. When the parents got home, but I wouldn't stop then. I was responsible for bath and bedtime, too. I worked with this family for six years doing this every summer from Mondays to Fridays. Then I stopped working for this family so I could get a "real job" since I was 16. Then my first nephew was born shortly after so my experience has continued since I was 10 years old. Now, I am a stay-at-home mom because I am extremely protective when it comes to my children and its hard to trust anybody to watch my children so I understand what you other moms are going through and what you are looking for in a child care provider. It is such a huge important decision finding someone good enough to watch your child/children and I completely agree and understand. Since I have three little ones at home I would like to find children who can come to my house. I have a nice 4-bedroom house with a big backyard with trampoline and a playroom for the children.
