I love baby-sitting because kids are so much fun, it hardly feels like a job even though it really is! Kids have such a light about them that even on the rough days of temper tantrums, you can get past it and still have a wonderful day. They are open to learn and try new things which make everything even more exciting! I have four years of baby-sitting experience. Every family that I have baby-sat for I have been with for between one and four years. I have most of my experience with younger children between the ages of 6 months to 5 years old, but I know that I could easily adjust to elementary or middle school children.
The first family I baby-sat for had an 8-month-old girl and 3-year-old boy. I was with them for about one and a half years and watched their children Monday and Wednesday weekly, but also overnight whenever I was needed.
The second family I baby-sat for had five kids between the ages of 6 months and 12. I baby-sat for them on special occasions.
The third family had twins, a boy and girl. I started watching them when they were 1 recently and had to stop at age 5 because I moved here to Phoenix for college.
The final family also had twin boys and I started watching them when they were 7 months old. I also had to leave them to move to Phoenix for college.
All of these families can be used as references. Most of them I would still be with; however, I chose to move to Phoenix to attend ASU for nursing school.
Besides baby-sitting, I have worked as a pre-school gymnastics coach, and a summer camp instructor for four years at High Sierra Gymnastics.

Some things that i enjoy doing in my free time are baking, swimming and playing sports. I also enjoy teaching children how to swim and going to the park, and arts and crafts.
