Sarah V. - Pawtucket Babysitter

Profile of Sarah V.

Part-Time, 4 Years of Experience

I spent many of my younger days baby-sitting/ nannying. I watched four children over five years. I started with one at six weeks and as the family continued to grow, I continued to watch the three more additions to the family. The mother was a CNA and worked every other weekend. The father owned his own business and was gone a lot. When I watched them on the weekend, I usually spent the night because she was gone before the children woke.

In 2001(ish) I started volunteering at a daycare called Kid's Castle in Canton, SD. Later on, I filled an open position they had for a summer. Here I worked with many different aged children; infants to preschoolers. They also taught preschool and I got to help out with those activities as well as meal time.

I went to college 2003-2008. At this time I didn't continue working with children as much as I would have liked. I was busy studying and getting a degree. There were a few activities that I participated in though that helped me stay in contact with kids.

In 2004 I was part of the Big Brother/ Sister program. I was a big sister to an 8-year-old named Lakiya. I went to her school each week. I helped her with homework; we read together, had picnics and just spent time together; someone she could talk to and rely on.

In 2004 I planned a children's carnival at my college dorm. I was president of my dorm and we planned activities that kids and the community could come and participate in. We had games, face painting, cake walk, clowns and other fun activities.

I am a Midwest girl with great values, morals and work ethic. I love children and like to think that I am a natural with them. I would love an opportunity to work with your child(ren) and be able to be shape a little one's life.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy baking, cooking, going on vacations, the ocean, and taking photos. I also like to do crafts. I can creatively think of new ways to keep your children entertained.
