I volunteered at For His Children, an orphanage in Quito, Ecuador for two weeks in January, 2009. I helped out with the toddler house, ages 2 to 4. My responsibilities were to entertain the children during the mornings, which included helping them with swimming, putting movies in, and helping with discipline. I also was able to help with lunch time, making sure the children were eating and behaving. I have nieces and nephews that I have given a lot of time to. I have been there for their whole childhood; they are ages 2 to 7, currently. I have taken them to the zoo, helped them swim in the pool, and brought them to do minimal errands. I also have baby-sitting experience with a 9 and 13-year-olds. I cooked them meals, played with them, and other miscellaneous tasks around the house. I have baby-sitting experience for the past eight years with other children, family and non family members.

I love children, and after I graduate with my degree in Psychology, I want to be a pediatric nurse.
