Baby-sitting has been something that I have personally been doing since I was in 8th grade, caring for children in my neighborhood. Baby-sitting affected my high school experience by giving my the inspiration to take three years of Early Childhood Occupations Education. This class was based on a nursery school in the classroom and doing field-site work out of the classroom. During this class, I worked with children from ages 3 to 6 years doing arts and crafts, making lunches, and caring for each child. My field site work was done at a local day care, which also happened to be my work place at the time. For my field sire I worked with babies, from ages 2 - 14 months. The day care was called Koala Child Kare, and it resides in Westbrook, Maine which is also my hometown. I did after school for pay, I did one on one work with a special needs child who had autism. I have plenty of experience working with all age groups and even children with certain mental disabilities. I'm very passionate about working with children because I feel that I do it well and it always ends up being a lot of fun.- Female
