Greetings! I have been baby-sitting and a nanny for most of my life. =) I am currently caring for a 6-month-old sweetie while I look for a permanent position. Prior to this, I spent 12 years with one particular family with two children, one of whom has special needs (cerebral palsy, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, etc.) The other child has no special needs. Because of this special needs experience, I am keenly aware of the needs of a child who is dependent for every function of life, from safety to fun and health to development. This is critical not only for children with special needs, but also for any infant or young child. With this family, I also have had the privilege of being a part of caring for a child without special needs, ages 1-13.

I am familiar with the stages of a child's life, what their needs are, and what activities are appropriate and fun at each stage. I also understand and embrace each individual child's journey and love to share in their abilities and interests; whether they include sports or arts and crafts or anything in between!

I have worked side-by-side with parents to uphold their parenting styles and family values. I can follow your schedule with no problem but you can trust me to find exciting activities and be creative without much direction when you are busy with work or appointments, etc.

I was CPR/First Aid certified for adults, children and infants but my certification has since lapsed. I am more than willing to re-certified if you would like.
