I love working with kids! I became an elementary school teacher because I am passionate about helping kids start right in elementary school. I have lots of experience caring for kids! I grew up helping to care for my brother, who is four years younger. I took a baby sitter training class by the American Red Cross. I baby-sat for families from church. I've taught children's Sunday school. I've been involved in several programs for kids: Big Brothers Big Sisters, YWCA camp, the Junior Achievement Program, a Dr. Seuss Event at Martin Public Library, Earth Science Day at Nixon Park, 21st Century After-School Program in a city school district, and a mission trip to a Sudanese refugee summer school in Cairo, Egypt. I care about children near and far!
