Part-Time Nanny

Seeking a part time nanny in my Sacramento (Tahoe Park neighborhood) home for my 4-month-old son. Approximately 10 - 15 hours per week to start, later increasing to 20 hours per week. We are flexible about which days and times we need someone. Child care experience and references required. Pay negotiable.

Our family values "green," environmentally responsible living and natural, organic foods. We include these values in our caring for our baby by using things like natural beauty and cleaning products and cloth diapers. As the baby gets older, we intend to very much limit his TV time (currently we don't have a TV, only DVDs).

We often like to keep our baby with us in a Bjorn carrier and he sleeps next to our bed in an arm's reach co-sleeper. We like to use gentle methods to work on his sleep schedule.

A few child care books and magazines we like are:
Mothering magazine, "The No-Cry Sleep Solution," and "Happiest Baby on the Block."

Our nanny should be warm, caring, and responsible. It isn't necessary that her values are the same as ours, but we are looking for someone happy to respect and participate in our choices.
