Calling all Mary Poppins!
The W. family is looking for an inspiring part-time nanny!
We're seeking an inspirational part-time nanny for one happy and spirited 20-month-old toddler boy in New York's Upper West neighborhood, zip code 10023. We are looking forward to building a relationship with a loving caregiver who is energetic and playful, thoughtful and inquisitive, patient and calm, responsible and educated. A nanny-at-heart that truly loves their job, likes to play cars, can pretend to be in a rock band, and will share in our child's daily wonder at life!
Details:
Hours: 21 plus hours a week
Weekdays: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (10 a.m. - 5 p.m. )
Weekends: occasional Friday/Saturday evening if possible
Salary: to be determined together
Description:
* Inspiration and encouragement: be a lovely force of positive energy, uplifting praise, and enrichment to the imagination!
* Provide interactive care: toy/pretend play, book reading, simple craft projects
* Outdoor activities: walk child to parks to play in playground, run around, play starter soccer or other sports
* Toddler classes: accompany child and participate in walk-to music classes (occasionally only)
* Meals: prepare simple fresh, healthy, organic meals and snacks and care for child during feeding
* Sleep and bathing: nap and bedtime routines, including nighttime bath
* Light housework: meal clean-up, storing child's things, putting away laundry, storing laundry, simple organizing, stock/empty dishwasher
* Errands: when parent is with child, occasional grocery runs, post office mailings
Qualifications:
* Overall: you have a zest for life, the patience of a zen master, a great admiration for super nanny and a love for all things kid!
* Child care experience with infant and toddler children, with three references
* Perfect English speaking/reading skills
* Perfect background check
* CPR certified
Our hope is that this caregiver becomes a cherished member of our family and is open to a full-time position in the future.
