I encourage sharing by asking the children who have problems sharing to put away the things that they would not like their friends to play with when they are coming over for a play-date. We sometimes forget that children are people with feelings. How would you feel if your friend walks into your house and starts using your cell phone to make long distance call without your permission?

I do this to and add that they need to show the same respect at their friends houses. This goes for other members of the family things.
