I have been caring for two little girls for six years, the youngest of whom is 3 years of age. I also took care of my grandson for five years until he moved to Australia. I love children and feel they are my calling, as I also worked within school systems in California and Maine with special needs children. I don't believe in spanking or any form of corporal punishment. I've raised two of my own children, and they are now both adults contributing to society here and abroad. I've been fingerprinted by the Vista Unified School District and did take a class in CPR, am willing to renew my card by taking a refresher class. I've also worked with children with behavioral problems, learning disabilities, and high functioning autism within the school district in Vista, California and Winslow, Maine. I have taught school as a substitute teacher in Maine and have worked as an instructional assistant both there and in California. Teaching children in any capacity is my life's work. My goal is to give children what they need to assist them with their future, hug them and squeeze them and make them happy in general! Will be available to work as of January 11, 2010.
