My name is Liza, like Minnelli, and I am a newcomer to Denver. I lived here for a year nearly 13 years ago, but have since lived on the east coast. I am a certified elementary school teacher in multiple states. I have spent most of my career with the kindergarten, first, and second grades (11 years of teaching experience). I have chosen not to return to the classroom in order to pursue other adventures in education :) I have cared for children outside of the classroom, since I was one of the three oldest in the neighborhood. Recently, I cared for a beautiful baby girl. She was 4 months old when we started "spending time together" and just shy of a year when I moved. I enjoyed every moment of the days I spent with her. I miss her and her mom very much. Luckily, I have three nieces to distract me! My sister has 5-year-old twins and a little one who will be 2 at the end of September. I love children, I hope to have my own someday, in the meantime, I will take care of yours as if they are my own!

Art was always my favorite part of the school day, which is probably liked kindergarten so much! I confess: I am a Martha Stewart wannabe. Beading, painting, creating, I love it all. I enjoy the outdoors too; I'm excited to be in a city with a great zoo and wonderful parks.

I haven't been to the Children's Museum or aquarium, but I hear good things. I like walks, bike rides and generally wandering. And, I often find things to do in the newspaper that would be more fun if a child tagged along :)
