Cyberbullying Found as Parents #1 Fear

In response to the recent headlines of teenagers being bullied to death or who had suffered from bullying or cyberbullying, Care.com commissioned a national survey to  find out how parents feel about bullying.  The findings prove that bullying has become the #1 fear for parents, and that they are taking action to protect their children, both within their own homes and throughout their communities.

The Care.com survey was conducted via a national telephone survey among a weighted sample of 394 adults 18 years of age and older living in private households in the continental United States. Interviewing for the survey was completed during the period October 8-11, 2010.

Parents are getting savvier to their kids' online activities and access to technology that has proven to be fertile ground for cyberbullying.

Parents want their children's schools to take the issue seriously.

Cyberbullying is a national concern.
