Ashley M. - Coxs Creek Babysitter

Profile of Ashley M.

Part-Time, 2 Years of Experience

My experience with children began during my childhood. I am the big sister of two sisters and one brother. My mother found me trustworthy at an early age, so I was often responsible for my siblings. My siblings still depend on me to this day for advice and emotional support. My childhood experience led to sitting for friends of my family. I was employed during the summers of my high school years. That experience led to a more legitimate job at St. Paul's after school care program. At St. Paul's, another lady and myself supervised about 30 kids ranging from preschoolers to sixth graders. I am currently sitting for one family (18-month-old boy, 3-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl). I sit for them on an "on call" basis. Although I have no formal education, I believe that I am a professional. I have always connected with kids very easily, and I have a good understanding of how they work. I am a very compassionate, caring, positive, honest, and responsible person. Being a nanny is truly my calling in life. I couldn't image myself doing anything else. I find much joy in being around kids and helping out families. I would consider myself to have a big heart so, I usually get emotionally attached. I will more than likely fall in love with your kids! My goal is to do my best to accomplish the parents wishes/rules, and at the same time make sure that the kids have fun and stay happy. Parents shouldn't have to stress when they are away from the home, and kids shouldn't dread the baby sitter or time without mom/dad. Safety is also a very important aspect of childcare for me. I would never want anything to happen to a kid under my watch. Therefore, I am always keeping my eyes on them. I always clean up any mess that forms during my time with the kids. I don't think parents should have to clean up after a day at work, or a night out. If the kids are up for it, I try to interact with them creatively (painting, coloring, block building, etc.). I think that I have found a good balance between being a friend and maintaining order. I would love to sit for a loving, easy going family. I am looking for a part-time but consistent schedule. Hoping to find my dream family as soon as possible. Contact me any time.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I am a tie dye artist. I am trying to start a business with my art. I feed stray cats and try to rescue them. I love to spend time in nature. I also enjoy taking pictures. I don't have a TV so I try to read and sometimes play Wii.
