I've nannied for a few different families in both New York City and Grand Rapids, MI. In each instance, the children were under two years of age. I absolutely adore little ones, especially babies, and would probably pay to be around them. It works out well that I can get paid for it.
My last placement lasted a year, and involved taking care of extremely premature twins. When I started they were five months, and had only been home from the hospital for two months. So I was responsible for all hospital visits and checkups on top of the typical stuff. I'd usually go with one of the parents and we'd each take care of one of the two boys. I'm really comfortable with infants and toddlers, even if they are sick or in need of anything extra or special.

I'm in graduate school for clinical social work. I like to work out and to read. I'd like to be a hospital social worker working in the neonatal ward or specialize in attachment issues/postpartum depression once I'm licensed.
