I have chosen to care for children because I enjoy watching them learn and grow. Child care continues to be a rewarding experience for me. It is wonderful to see how well children respond to a supportive, loving environment. I know that by teaching young children I am making a long-term contribution to the people they will become. I have been licensed by Illinois DCFS for four years. To care for children in my home. This means that, after investigating my background, visiting my home and collecting written references regarding my character and abilities, (Illinois) has given me approval to care for children in my home. In addition, I must adhere to their strict guidelines for excellence in child care. I purchase my curriculum from Child Care Village. Their approach is to consider development of the whole child. My monthly activity plan includes arts and crafts, music and movement, creative play, group activities, games, science and discovery, and a suggested reading list. I have eight years CPR, First Aid.
