I enjoy caring for children because, to put it simply, I just love children. I am pursuing a nursing career in hopes of working in the pediatric or maternity department. I currently am in school Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Canton Massasoit. I've had plenty of experience working with babies, toddlers and adolescents. I have been baby-sitting since I was 9 years old for my family, as well as for neighbors. I love to have fun with the kids, but also understand that there's work time, too. I have work experience as a teacher's aide for first graders and helped coach recreational sports, ages 5 through 9. I am willing and have the ability and knowledge to help with children's homework and practice sports. I also lived with a family, her 2-year-old son and 1-month-old baby. I took care of the children from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. , Monday through Friday, while the mother went to work. I changed diapers, bathed, cooked and fed the children. I put the baby to sleep and made sure to put smiles on their faces. I completed a baby-sitting/child care course through American Red Cross and am certified in CPR/First Aid.
