Hi, my name is Allison and I am 24 years old. I'm a first year Tufts Medical student living in the South End. I love working with kids and am actually thinking of specializing in pediatrics when I finish school. I've been baby-sitting since I was in high school, about 9 years. I have a great deal of experience with children in addition to babysitting. I worked for three years in college as a teaching assistant at a nursery school for 3 to 5 year olds. I've also been a nanny to one family for two summers. I'm originally from Maine and graduated May 2007 from Wheaton College. I worked the past two years at Children's Hospital Boston as a clinical study coordinator and research assistant. At Children's I was lucky to work with both young children (0-3) and older kids (8-18) for the two parts of my job. In addition to my full-time work at the hospital, I also baby-sat about once or twice a week. I've worked with children from newborns to age 12, although in the last few years most of my experiences have been with babies and children 5 and under. I'm very comfortable around babies and love caring for them, but I also love caring for older kids and am interested in caring for kids of all ages. Because of my previous experiences, I can be pretty creative with indoor and outdoor activities to make sure kids are having fun!
