I have been around kids my entire life. I come from a large extended family with lots of cousins. I also have three nieces, ages 11, 9, and 7 whom I feel I have helped raise! Since I have been around kids my whole life, caring for them comes easily and naturally to me. I started baby-sitting at around age 11 or 12 and absolutely have a passion for kids. I was recently going to school for social work. In my course work, I have taken a few classes on early childhood development, as well as development through adolescence and adulthood. As an internship, I worked in a group home for emotionally troubled teens. It was a wonderful, fun, rewarding job, but was also emotionally exhausting. Our group home had anywhere from 2 to 6 at one time. While I worked there, I was responsible for shopping, planning, and preparing the meals, planning activities for the kids, getting the kids to their doctors/counseling appointments, and also having one-on-one time with the kids (to talk to them about their issues, work on homework, etc.). I really felt like my job was truly like being a parent and I cared for those kids as if they were my own. I have had a nanny job before and enjoyed it. I have become a "pseudo parent" for many of my friends children! It has kind of become a joke among my group of friends, but many of them recruit me to watch their kids often!

I recently moved to Boise from from Montana. I enjoy cooking and scrap booking when I get the chance. I enjoy the outdoors, music and arts of all kinds. I am a laid back person and always up for a new experience or learning something new!
