I am currently a live-in nanny of three children ages 2, 4, and 6 years.
I started baby-sitting family friends in 2005, ages 5 weeks to 13 years old.
I made $10 to $20 per hour.
I can change diapers, bottle feed, and burp babies.
I have cared for five families with two or more children at a time.
During school vacations and the summer of 2009, I was a nanny for a family with three children of 5, 8, and 13 years old.
* 2007-2009: I belonged to the Best Buddies Organization and became the events coordinator for the program at my school. This program involves students with disabilities interacting with other students at the school by forming "buddy" pairs. My most recent pair is with a girl who was diagnosed with Sanfilippo syndrome, a rare and fatal brain disease.
* 2006-2009: I completed the early childhood education, child growth and development, and practicum courses where everyday I interacted with 2- to 5 year olds in the BHS Preschool as well as made lesson plans and conducted activities for the children.
* 2008-2009: For my practicum course, I had the opportunity to choose a classroom at the Davis School (K through two) where I interned as a teacher's assistant. I chose to work in the C. A. S. E classroom that dealt with young children with moderate/severe disabilities.
* I greatly enjoy working with children and hope to pursue a career in medicine and children such as a pediatric specialist. I also have plans in 2010 to volunteer at an orphanage in Africa for a few months.
