I have been working with kids practically my entire life. I grew up in my mother's home day care, and began assisting her with day care children, meal preparation, and activities when I was about 12. I also began baby-sitting that same year. I have also served as a mother's helper for a toddler and twin infants.

When I was 15, I volunteered at a summer camp in Pennsylvania as part of their kitchen and laundry staff, but still helped out with the kids when my shifts were over. The following summer, I worked as an assistant counselor, lifeguard, and class instructor (canoeing and horses) at the same camp. During summer 2008, I was a full-time residential counselor for 7- to 10-year-old girls at YMCA Camp Letts in Edgewater, MD. During the day, I also worked in their day camp and as a lifeguard and class instructor.

In addition to my professional experience, I also have seven nieces and nephews between the ages of 6 and 13, four of whom are my godchildren and all of whom I visit frequently.

In case all of my experience hasn't let onto it, you should know that absolutely love to work with kids! Kids always want to laugh and play, and definitely always want to have fun!

However, accidents do happen sometimes, which is why I am certified in CPR for the health care professional, First Aid, and Lifeguarding. I am also attending Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing with intent to become either a pediatric nurse or nurse midwife.
