Dear parents, I am a 22-year-old William and Mary graduate who majored in Psychology and Elementary Education. I am actually just one test away (I have two under my belt already) from becoming a fully certified teacher in Virginia. Instead of teaching; however, I decided to pursue the field of child psychology and I am currently attending a doctoral program at Loyola College. Because of the relative flexibility of my schedule, I am available both during the days and also in the evenings for baby-sitting. This past semester, I worked with three families as a part-time child care provider during the weekdays. Due to changes in my schedule, I am going to continue with two of my families in the spring semester and I am looking for more occasional weeknight baby-sitting. I have worked during all college breaks at a neighborhood day care for the past four years and was in the toddler group this past summer. I have also worked as a camp counselor for the past two summers in a program for children with ADHD and for those with severe physical disabilities (through Fairfax County Therapeutic Recreation). I have been baby-sitting since I was 13 years old and, with a 7-year-old sister at home, I am more than comfortable with feeding, diaper changing and potty training. I am happy with anything from a low key evening while you go out to dinner or an adventure filled afternoon at the local park! I have my own transportation and I am CPR and First Aid certified.
