Hello, my name is TRENIKA LASHAWN but you can call me LASHAWN, and I'm a 19-year-old well-mannered Young adult. I will be attending GPC in the fall with my major being Early Childhood Development. I plan to start my own franchises of day care centers. The name of my company is EYE KARE (keeping a Close EYE on your child) thats my slogan. Tell me what you think. Child care is my career because I noticed that my mom, like everyone else mom, NEEDS HELP every now and then and I wanted the help to be me. Plus I Just love to see children HAPPY. So, I wanted to be the one the kids look for when they know their parents are going out. I don't have any children myself but that's good right? I was about 13 years old when I started watching my siblings, and 15 years old when I started to work with other families. I have taken care of the 6-week-olds to the elderly overnight. I regularly sit for 3-year-old twin boys who are full of energy and very sweet. I'm comfortable with toddlers on up. I love to sit newborns. Don't get me wrong, but I love to play so a newborn job is quite a time for me. No lifestyle rules by force, only one by choice. I don't eat pork, a school experience did it and I have been pork-free since October 2008. The only baby-sitting philosophy is that the children draw me a picture to keep as well as I will draw them one. My favorite activities for the kids are playing hide and seek. It gets the energy out that is held in by sitting in the house. It teaches them to play together and be fair to one another. Reading to them is like an adventure in their own homes. I love to share some of the experiences that I have had and have in my life with the children I work with if their parents are okay with it. Experiences like the amusement parks, camping, and Stone Mountain.

I love to cook, bake cookies, read, draw, color, ride bikes, swimming, hike up Stone Mountain, be outside at the park, and going to amusement parks as well as camping at the lakes and fishing.
