I am interested in senior, child or pet care gigs. I have experience in all three!

Senior care- 1 year paid experience. Non-intimate, non-medical care, such as transportation to appointments, cooking and cleaning, help dressing and grooming, and of course companionship.

Child care- Years of experience with children (paid & volunteer). I am young at heart and I especially enjoy doing outdoor and art activities with kids. My childcare philosophy is to engage children and encourage healthy behaviors. I do not "watch" children.

Pet care- Over 3 years of paid experience. I am also a life long pet owner. I adore animals, especially dogs. I have experience with all sizes/ages/needs including special diets and administering medicine. I have experience caring for aggressive dogs and will consider these jobs on a case-by-case basis.

I enjoy being active and engaging with my clients, human and doggie. However, if someone just needs to be looked after for a few hours or a night, I'm content just being present, sharing a movie or reading.

I'd like to take on short-term, non-regular jobs (week-long, weekend, occasional days and nights). I will accept overnight jobs. I have a car and insurance, and a good driving record.

A little bit about me: I grew up in the Northern VA area, the oldest of three children. I received my undergraduate degree from George Mason University. I have always managed multiple responsibilities well. In college I was an officer in a student organization, and I continue to support GMU students through an alumni group. I have been lucky enough to experience some great learning and volunteer opportunities throughout the country and abroad. I work in the human services field. I plan to earn a Masters degree in Social Work in the next few years. I'd like to do care gigs to earn some extra money (to help pay for that MSW, haha!)
