I am a 58 years old, mother of 1 daughter and I have one grandchild. I come from a very loving family of 12 chidren (10 Boys And 2 Girls). I took early retirement in 2006 to assist my mother and uncle. I assisted them with meals, laundry, shopping, yard work, home repairs and general companionship. Some of our best times were talking about their lives, taking day trips or extended trips to former places they lived. We discussed books, favorite authors and attended many library book sales in SC. We watched movies together and planned family get togethers. Unfortunately they both passed away in 2011.

I would enjoy being a companion for seniors. I will provide light house keeping, prepare meals, transportation to doctors appointments, plan activities, yard work, minor home repairs, travel and overall companionship.

For children I believe in being active (physically and mentally). When I am with my 4 1/2-year-old granddaughter we go to parks, museums, libraries, long walks, look at nature and do creative art projects, workbooks, plays and try different musical instruments. At bedtime I read her two stories, then she asks me any question that's on her mind and then tells me about the best part of her day.

I believe in teaching respect for others and proper manners.

I am an excellent listener and enjoy the way young children see the world.
