I am a 45-year-old, single mom of an energetic 6-year-old son looking to help other families manage their busy lives. I'm new to Care.com so I don't have a lot of paid experience. But, I've run my own household for almost 30 years. I can run errands, answer phone calls, do laundry, weed the garden and just about anything on the computer or I-pad. I can bring order to a problem area and provide a fresh prospective. I know how to make a lot of things fit into limited space and make it pleasing to the eye. I can organize, categorize and make sense of all those pictures uploaded to your computer. I'm very resourceful. If I don't know how to do it I can find out how. And, if it's beyond my comfort level I will say so. Life is so busy these days and we just don't have time to get it all done.

I try to cook organic as much as I can in my household so if that's your thing too I can help. I can help with grocery shopping and meal planning so that you save money, time and have healthy, nutritious meals for the family.

I will go ahead and admit it but I am one of those weird people who finds satisfaction in scrubbing out the grit and grime that can build up in the cracks and crevices of our homes over time. I call it "House Detailing" and its like having a fresh start. And, we all have at least one household chore we detest like dusting or mopping. So if you want to give yourself a break and are tired of looking at a problem area you've been putting off I can make it go away for you. I can do minor household repairs like bathtub re-caulking and re-grouting tile. I have stripped, sanded and repainted and stained furniture. I can also do basic repairs on wood projects. And you know those weeds that love to grow in the cracks of driveways that are such a pain to remove? I'm your gal to make those go away. I don't believe in using a lot of harsh household chemicals. I've done my research and found that the old-fashioned, basics work the best, are cheaper and are safer for our families and environment.
As well as being a nurse I have a background in accounting. I am happy to email my resume and provide character references.
