Hi, my name is Candice and I am 20 years old. I attended Metro as a freshmen, and was majoring in Behavioral Science with a minor in Education to become a teacher. However I had a change of thought and would love to go to school to be an RN in the ER. I have been babysitting ever since I can remember. I love working with children. If there was one thing in life that I could characterize as my "life" its my love and passion for children. I am constantly watching a child and that is what I enjoy doing. I was in the PTP program, at my high school. Which stands for Prospective Teaching Program and I would go to the local elementary school everyday and student teach. Although the concept of teaching and watching a child is a little different I still think that instilling a sense of value is always important. Watching a child light up inside when they finally realize something or get that urge of happiness just brightens my day. I babysit on and off from time to time and have had quite a few other jobs in my time. This just seems like the perfect job for me. I love children, and spending time with them. What a great way to spend my day! I live in the Westminster area but commute to Denver, and the Arvada area quite often. Unfortunately I am not CPR or First Aid certified. But I would be more then willing to receive these certifications if so needed. This semester I took a CNA class to become CNA certified so that will definitely be a plus.
