Over the years, in addition to my regular "day job", or while I was a student, I have done a variety of short-term jobs, or gigs. I often did these for friends, colleagues, or organizations with which I volunteer. I've been a volunteer greeter and credit card processor for the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Texas. I have helped set up and take down for a variety of special events; planned and organized children's parties, women's social activities, and community fundraisers; I've performed vacation services, such as watered plants, fed fish, and cared for pets; and often had clients recommend me to their friends. I have experience working with seniors and provide respectful, conscientious help with a variety of household errands. Recently, I helped a friend who is temporarily wheelchair bound with some personal errands and work around her house.
