I am currently helping two 81-year-old friends for the past 3-4 years with everything from grocery shopping, to errands and transportation (doctor appointments, pick up prescriptions, going to bank), setting up small appliances, injury care/home help. I also took care of my elderly grandfather who lived in a nursing home, by feeding him meals (he was blind); brushing teeth; keeping him updated on news, sports, world events; just holding his hand; making sure he received any special care; checking his personal belongings and clothing for any replacement; making sure he was warm/cool enough, had enough liquids to drink. It was a blessing!
