In addition to pet-sitting and caring for children, I have often also house-sat and cared for plants while friends and friends of my friends were out of town. Just because the dogs are fed and let out to play, doesn't mean the mail should pile up, or the plants should die. No one wants to get up at 7:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning for the cable man.
